GINAF Trucks History

GINAF Trucks was founded in 1967 by the Van Ginkel brothers, who began with the sale of modified American army trucks in the Netherlands. In the first years of its appearance, it continued to use the units and units of military vehicles in the construction of manufactured vehicles. But in the second half of the 1970s, GINAF Trucks introduced new models with extensive use of DAF Trucks components, including one of the first in the European market of KFS 16 dump trucks with a wheel formula of 8x8.

In 1984, the company's production line was replenished with a five-axle landing gear, and two years later the cars produced under this brand are equipped with a hydropneumatic suspension. Since 1988, a modular principle for the development of new equipment has been introduced, which dramatically expanded the range of modifications offered to customers, and in 1991 the use of an electron-hydraulic control system for the rear axle wheels, increasing the maneuverability, carrying capacity and safety of heavy dump trucks and special vehicles was started.

One of the company's most recent developments is the HydroAxle front axle hydraulic drive system: the pump, powered by the power take-off, delivers torque to the wheeled hydraulic motors. Compared with the classic mechanical drive, this system allows a 10% increase in traction on the front axle, as well as reduce the mass of the transmission and fuel consumption. In the production program GINAF Trucks two families of trucks. The first - GINAF X-series, - includes a wide range of models, mainly for work in difficult road conditions. All of them are equipped with DAF cabs and Paccar engines. The total weight of dump trucks with a wheel formula of 10x8 is 59.6 tons, they are designed for transportation up to 44.4 tons of bulk cargo. The total weight of the GINAF X-series with a wheel formula of 10x6-52 tons, and with a wheel formula of 10x4-55.3 tons. At the same time for dump trucks intended for work in quarries, the total mass can reach 80 tons, and the carrying capacity up to 50 tons.

The four-axes GINAF X-series are offered with two, three or all four leading axes. Their total mass varies between 44-46 tons. And the total mass of triaxial all-wheel drive or rear-drive modifications is 36-37 tons. GINAF X-series with wheel formula 4x4 and gross weight of 19.7-24.6 tons are mainly used as dump trucks, but as a high-pass chassis for the installation of various special bodies. In addition, on their basis a sports truck X2224 was created for participation in rally-raids.
