Clark Forklifts History





All forklifts in the world owe their appearance to the company Clark. After all, they created about a hundred years ago the world's first forklift, and their development was so brilliant and in demand that now it is absolutely impossible to imagine a warehouse without this type of equipment.

The plant, founded in 1917, is named after its founder, engineer Eugene Clark. He noticed how labor inefficiently used by workers when carrying heavy objects, and invented a mechanized replacement for hands in the form of forks.

1998 CLARK Material Handling acquires Samsung Fork Lift Company in Korea. The plant, now called CLARK Material Handling Asia, designs and markets the Clark loaders on the world market.

The CLARK M-Series series, designed and manufactured by CLARK Material Handling Asia, is presented on the world market of loaders.

In 2014, almost 100 years after its foundation, Clark has its own units in Germany, Brazil, Canada, the USA and South Korea, preserving the tradition of quality, reliability and great design.

2001 Series CLARK Gen2 on the world market of forklifts. Gen2 can withstand weight from 4000 to 6500 pounds. The series is designed and manufactured by Clark Material Handling Asia.

2002 A new series of electric loaders EPX20 / 30 comes out.

2003 The young Korean company An Hat joins the CLARK Material Handling Company and CLARK Material Handling Asia.

2004 CLARK Europe GmbH opens a new headquarters in Germany.

2005 Clark opens a new headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky. The new models TMX12-25 and ECX20-32 are sit-down electric riders with new 100% AC technology. The TMX12-25 and ECX20-32 AC are less noisy than their predecessors and require less operating costs.

2006 Production moved to a new plant in Lexington, Kentucky. Opens a new plant in China.

A new high-speed forklift truck on the pneumatic GEX20 / 30 has been launched. A bridge with steerable wheels and zero turning radius provides incredible maneuverability.

2007 CLARK presents a heavy-duty four-wheel model C60-80, which is designed for transportation of building materials, loading and unloading of ships and work in warehouses.
