TESLA Semi Truck Review

Tesla Semi is the safest and most convenient fully electric truck, the prototype of which was officially unveiled on November 16, 2017 in Hawthorne (California, USA). The truck is scheduled for release in 2019. On the official website of the manufacturer, you can pre-order it by making a deposit of $ 5,000. The full cost of the novelty is $ 250,000.

Tesla Semi has 4 independent electric motors on the rear axles, which provide insane torque and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h even with full load in 20 seconds, making this electric truck the fastest in the world both in its class and in comparison with diesel trucks.

The electric truck will be produced with two different batteries, one, as expected, will provide a power reserve of 480 km on one charge, the other will drive 800 km on one charge. The company did not provide an accurate battery capacity, however, it can be assumed that the capacity of the largest battery will be at least 1000 kWh, energy consumption - 2 kWh at 1.6 km.

With the help of new supercharger charging stations Supercharger V3 or Megachargers, which are under development, the electric truck can be charged in just 30 minutes, extending its power reserve by 640 km.

The electric truck Tesla Semi is equipped with an autonomous control system, an automatic emergency braking and holding system in the lane, as well as a direct collision warning system.

To achieve the most efficient and fast acceleration, even in a loaded condition, designers and developers of Tesla Semi designed a fairly aerodynamic body of the cab and the body of the electric truck, reaching an index of 0.36 Cd.

Inside the Tesla Semi - spacious, ergonomic and convenient for the driver. In the best traditions of Tesla, the electric truck is equipped, instead of the traditional control panel, with 2 large touch screens, responsible for the operation and monitoring of all car systems
